Random Time! – The Rock’s description of the upcoming Rampage movie sure is something

Goin’ primal. 🦍 Good to finally have boots on the ground here in Georgia for production of #RAMPAGE. I head up an anti poaching unit out of Rwanda. My best friend is a rare albino gorilla named, George. Very bad people infect George, an alligator and a wolf with a serum. All three animals grow at an unprecedented rate. Their size, speed, agility and violent aggression is off the charts. They go on a deadly rampage and want to destroy the world. George not happy. Me not happy. When animals like you, they lick you. When they don’t like you, they kill you. I will hunt down the bad people who did this to my best friend. And when I find them, I will not lick them. We have the best VFX monster making team (WETA) on the planet. Our actors and crew have been working very hard to raise the monster genre bar. As always, let’s have some fun. Let’s shoot. 🤙🏾 #PrimalDNA #George #Lizzy #Ralph #RAMPAGE

I don’t even know what to make of this. I mean, Hollywood has shown time and time again that they have no idea how to adapt video games into movies. The Rock’s description of the upcoming Rampage movie makes it seem like Hollywood hasn’t changed at all, yet makes me want to see it even more. It sounds like a beautiful disaster.

Capitals beat Penguins in overtime after blowing 2-goal Game 3 lead in regulation

Washington should’ve won earlier, but responded in overtime after blowing the lead in regulation.

The Washington Capitals turned a potentially disastrous finish to Game 3 into something positive with a 3-2 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. They’re now firmly in the Eastern Conference Semifinals series after Kevin Shattenkirk scored the game-winner to make up for blowing a 2-0 lead minutes earlier.

Even without Sidney Crosby, who left earlier in the game due to injury, the Penguins are the team nobody can put away. They delivered that message to the Capitals via a pair of last-minute goals in that forced overtime in backbreaking fashion after Pittsburgh fell behind, 2-0, through the first 58 minutes of action.

Evgeni Malkin has long been Crosby’s starring partner, and naturally he stepped into the limelight with his teammate out in the third period. Malkin rifled an absolute beauty of a one-timer to beat Braden Holtby with 1:53 remaining in regulation, cutting the Capitals’ lead in half.

Less than a minute later, the Penguins had their goalie pulled again when Justin Schultz fired a shot from the blue line that deflected off a defender’s stick and bounced high to beat Holtby. It was a brutal bounce for the Capitals, who were just 65 seconds away from their first win in the series.

The Capitals will have a big opportunity at a comeback in this series, especially if Crosby is sidelined going forward. Either way, Washington just injected life back into its Stanley Cup hopes minutes after they appeared on the brink in Pittsburgh. Oh, playoff hockey, how you swing our emotions.

Overwatch’s Uprising Event Extended After Ending Too Early

Blizzard has extended Overwatch‘s latest seasonal event, Uprising, after the event ended today earlier than the studio said it would. Some fans were not happy about this.

The event ended early by accident, Blizzard admitted in a message posted to Twitter. Uprising’s Loot Boxes have since been restored, with the King’s Row Brawl event taking a little longer to return, but it should be back now if it’s not already. Players who are logged in may need to log out to log in again to see the return of the King’s Row event.

The Uprising event is now scheduled to end on May 2 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.

This isn’t the first time an Overwatch event accidentally ended early. The one before this, themed around Halloween, finished too soon, causing a stir in the Overwatch community.

Uprising has been running in Overwatch across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC since early April. No future seasonal events have been announced, but given their popularity, you can bet they will happen.

In other Overwatch news, Blizzard recently announced that the game has crossed 30 million players.

Kobe Bryant’s daughter already has a nasty turnaround jumper

She’s only 11 years old!

We always hear about the sons of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, and how good they are at basketball. But I think we have a real sleeper on our hands.

Kobe Bryant posted an Instagram video of his daughter, Gianna, working on her turnaround jumper. Take a look.

Happy Birthday to this lil lady. My Gigi!! #lilmamba #tesoro #11

She’s 11 years old and you can legit see shades of Kobe in this shot. Plus, she’s already working out with headphones on like a pro!

I’m calling the 2028 WNBA Draft right now. Gianna Bryant will go No. 1 in that draft and I hope it’s with the LA Sparks.

I wonder if she’ll wear No. 8 or No. 24? I’m buying whichever jersey it is.

I’m not even gonna touch on the fact that if she wants to play basketball in her life, she’s gonna have one of the greatest players of all time guiding her and training her as she grows up because you already know.
