Tennis match gets interrupted by passionately loud sex noises

This has got to be the most bizarre stoppage of play in any sport. During a Sarasota Open match between Francis Tiafoe and Mitchell Krueger, you could hear the sound of people having sex. The announcer kept his cool throughout, and said it was an embarrassing situation caused by a phone randomly playing porn.

It sounds like the makings of a harsh prank, but that wasn’t the case. People were actually having sex nearby. There’s a lot to unpack here.

At some point, Francis Tiafoe knows that they’re not going to stop having sex, so why not crack a few jokes? He screams, “IT CAN’T BE THAT GOOD.” There is a 0 percent chance that the people having sex heard that. Still, the crowd attending the match seemed to like it. — Hector Diaz

The best part is this mom trying to get her son to cover his ears. Then he actually does it! Good kid. — Molly Podlesny

Krueger sent a tennis ball flying across the lake in an effort to stop it. Assuming this is the lake based on the address from the Sarasota Open website — which doesn’t seem like it’s big — he certainly could have hit his target. Though as the video indicated, even if it made it, it didn’t stop the couple. — Harry Lyles Jr.

The owner of the apartment has to get evicted for this. While that lake doesn’t appear to be big, the fact that a broadcast was able to pick up the sounds from the sex means that whomever is living above, below, left, or right of them were basically in the room with them. — Harry Lyles Jr.

This can’t be the first time this has happened. Every tenant in the apartment is sure to have their own story by now. And now, tennis fans have one too. — Hector Diaz

1:55 into the video, the broadcaster says in a surprising voice that “he can hear it” and “it’s still going.” Somebody’s telling on themselves. — Harry Lyles Jr.

Adam Sandler Movies Reach “Half A Billion” Hours Watched On Netflix

Adam Sandler’s Netflix movies might not get the best reviews, but they are unquestionably popular. As part of its latest earnings report this week, Netflix said its users have spent “more than half a billion hours enjoying the films of Adam Sandler” since the release of 2015’s The Ridiculous 6.

That movie was followed up by The Do-Over in 2016, while the third Sandler Netflix movie, Sandy Wexler, came out last week. It’s not immediately clear if the “half a billion hours” figure includes movies on Netflix that aren’t exclusive to the platform such as Mr. Deeds and Punch-Drunk Love.

Sandler’s first deal with Netflix was for four movies, which means there is still one more to come after Sandy Wexler. In March, Netflix announced a new four-movie deal with Sandler, bringing the total number of films up to eight. All of the movies are exclusive to Netflix.

We already knew that Sandler’s movies are popular on Netflix, as The Ridiculous 6 was the most-watched movie on Netflix during its first 30 days (via IGN).

“Adam Sandler is one of the leading comedians in the film world, and his movies have proven to be extremely successful with our subscribers around the world,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement when the new four-movie deal was announced. “We are thrilled at the opportunity to extend our partnership with Adam and his entire team at Happy Madison and keep the world laughing.”

Daily Kos GA-06 special election liveblog thread #7

Polls close tonight at 7 PM ET in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, where a special election is being held to replace former Republican Rep. Tom Price, who resigned to join Donald Trump’s cabinet. All the candidates compete on one ballot. If one candidate wins a majority of the vote, he or she wins the seat outright; otherwise, the two contenders with the most votes—regardless of party—will advance to a June 20 runoff.

There isn’t much doubt that Democrat Jon Ossoff will take first place, but Democrats hope that he’ll win outright. Several Republicans are competing for the second-place spot, with polls showing ex-Secretary of State Karen Handel and wealthy businessman Bob Gray locked in a close contest, while former state Sens. Judson Hill and Dan Moody are also in contention. Mitt Romney won this suburban Atlanta seat 61-37 in 2012, but it swung sharply against Trump, who carried it by just 48-47.
