Canadiens force overtime with 17 seconds left after Rangers break another stick

Might need to replace those things.

The New York Rangers had done everything right up until the third period of Game 2.

But in the dying seconds, clinging to a 3-2 lead over the Montreal Canadiens, the Rangers began letting the Habs pepper goalie Henrik Lundqvist with shot after shot. Even out of his net!

Lundqvist did everything he could, but another broken stick doomed him. Not his own, which led to the first Habs goal of the game. It was his own defenseman Nick Holden’s stick, broken by a needless slash on Tomas Plekanec before Plekanec tied the game with 17 seconds left.
